Brave Cats are Guarding People

It is true they say - there is no beast more horrible, than an angry cat. Furious kitty from Hong Kong got all her four paws to protect the rights of her beloved owner and assumed the role of a watchdog. When the robber (who was doing his dirty business in some one's house) attacked the hostess which suddenly returned home, Mimi - the Persian beauty jumped on him from one of the shelves. The brave cat scratched robber's face allover and made him to run away. While the attacker still could manage to take with him a jewelry for 6,5 thousand dollars, still the owner of the house was saved and her biggest value - Mimi - stayed with her.

At the beginning of October 1967 all Yugoslavian newspapers were widely commenting and carefully describing the following interesting case. In the small town named Arilie there was a girl - a pupil of a local school - Stana Dragovich, and she had an ordinary cat called Marco. One day Stana went into the garden beside the house, sat down at the garden table and started to prepare her homework. Marco immediately climbed on her knees, laid back and began to purr. But suddenly he jumped on the table, his fur stood up, and he vehemently screamed. Stana was trying to calm her cat down, but did not succeed. Then she kicked him out from the table. But Marco jumped back once again, he was furiously hissing and looking up. The girl looked also up and froze in horror. There was a snake directly above her head, hanging on a vine brunch. Marco jumped up high, grabbed the snake and rolled with it on the ground. And here between the snake and the cat began a battle. Finally, Marco managed to grab a snake's neck and bit it through. The battle was over! All Yugoslavian newspapers were posting the photos of Stana and her cat Marco who became inseparable friends.
In England, in a small town Abbots-Morton lived an elderly lady Dorothy Kennedy, she was working in the post office. She had a small house and owned a huge cat, which was then called Lucky. Thus, together with the cat Dorothy was spending her evenings. Once - at night two robbers snicked inside her house. They were threatening Dorothy, demanding to give all her money. At this moment, Lucky silently appeared before them. Full of anger, the cat attacked one of the robbers. Lucky broke all his clothes and scratched the gangster until he start to bleed, after that the courageous cat jumped on the other robber. The cat's attack was so unexpected and furious that made the two robbers to jump out of the window and run away screaming from fear.
The other case happened to be in Tuapse, and was described in the Russian newspapers in 1982. One boy was playing with his red tubby cat beside the house. With the long stick the boy was slightly touching the cat, teasing him, and the cat was lazily catching the stick with his paws. Suddenly the end of the stick got into the hole in the basement of the house and a snake jumped out of there rapidly right to the boy's face, trying to bite. The cat seemed to be expecting this: immediately he stroke those snake with his paw and the snake felt down on the ground. The red tubby did not let her to leave back to under the basement, he grabbed her by the tail with his teeth and pulled away ... That's how the cat protected his playmate from the poisonous snake's teeth.
71-year-old Mariam Kuolop Ahmad shares her house with her cat. And this fluffy creature one beautiful day was behaving somewhat strangely. For some time the animal was expressively looking at his owner, then - on the roof. Having tracked the glance of her pet, Mariam saw that the suspicious man is crawling on the roof. He probably wanted to get to the upper storey, and then - into the house. However, when the thief noticed a cat and an old woman watching him, he decided to go away before someone would call the police for him. He rolled off the roof and ran away. Now Mariam more then ever loves her super-cat, without him she would probably be robbed, and maybe even worse.
So, as we can see, dogs are not the only protectors of their owners. Sometimes cats also can perform quite serious guardian skills, especially when their beloved owners or their houses are in danger. Who knows, what else we can expect from this mysterious animals, our fluffy friends?
