The Government of Mexico is gathering a half million army of cats to fight the rodents

Mexican authorities had announced the collecting of cats, in the so-called army, which is assigned the mission to save the local population of a Mexican town from rats. City officials of Chihuahua are planning to raise an army of seven hundreds cats and organize their attack on the city Ataskaderos, that is flooded with a lot of rats.

Calculations of the authorities come down to the fact, that for three thousand of the city Ataskaderos population there lives more than five hundred thousands of rodents. There are already organized a special collection points for the cats, where they will be given the vaccination against rabies and then those cats will be sent to Ataskaderos by trucks.

When the rats just appeared in the city, people were trying to get rid of them, using their own different facilities. But unfortunately for some reason no rodent died from the spaced traps and spilled poison. But many cats and dogs were killed instead. And now nothing could already disturb rat's multiplying. Each and every rat is producing about eight hundreds babies a year, and if cats will not help Ataskaderos, the city will die.

However, there are those who do not share the initiative of the authorities. Emilia de Leon is a leader of the Agency, that is controling animals in Monterey. She believes that the city, that survived this way and defeated the invasion of rats with the help of cats, very soon will have to fight another disaster. Namely - rapidly growing population of cats, because none of them passed the sterilization procedure.
