"Genetic Saving and Clone" - an American company, which offers the cloning of cats upon the request of their owners. About their success in this area the representatives of the company told at a recent Houston International Cat Show. Representatives of the biotechnological firm based in California, said that currently they have six orders on which they work. The service for the cloning of somebody's cat is not at all cheap - it cost fifty thousand dollars.

The first cat was made by the cloning company in 2001. At the Houston show there were publicly demonstrated the results of the fourth experiment: a cat named Mango of a bright red color and her clone - the kitten named Peaches. This two animals are almost a copy of each other, but there are also a few differences. For example, a cat-clone has a white spot on the back, but the "mother" does not have it. It should be noted that the company "Genetic Saving and Clone", taking an order for copies, does not promise a complete coincidence of all features. Indeed, both: appearance and character not only depend on the genes. They are always affected by the environment as well.

course, there are many people, who do not support this idea. Some of them even believe, that such a thing as cloning is a quite scary something to happen.
Still let's not forget - this pleasure (to have your cat cloned) is quite expencive one, so it is not likely, that many people would really go for it. Most of us still prefer to bye a kitten from a reputable breeder.
