American cat was found in Oxford

A stray cat, who wAmerican cat was found in Oxfordas picked up from the street near the British Oxford, was micro-chipped. After scanning the chip it became clear, that the cat was a resident of the United States.

Now, the professionals from the animal protection have to break their heads, trying to find out how this furry four-legged traveler made his way across the ocean. The employees of the Royal Society for Protection of Animals (RSPCA) do not have a clear version - they do not know which way the cat, named Jasper, could come to Great Britain.

Search of his American owner was unsuccessful so far, and there is not much hope, that somebody would recognize his pet. RSPCA Inspector Davidson says that Jasper is a very friendly cat and he show up as "an exemplary ambassador of the USA."

According to the hypothesis of a professionals from the Society for the Protection of animals, a cat could cross the Atlantic in three ways. The first method involves a remarkable abilities of this cat as a swimmer.

The second view suggests that there is an owner of this cat somewhere in Oxford, who is looking for him now. The third hypothesis is that the cat was picked up by a British family, while traveling across the United States, and brought to the UK. The American cat was transferred to a shelter for cats until his real owners will be found.
